Very nice lightweight dehydrator January 9, 2001

This is my first dehydrator, and it is definitely a positive
experience. The Excalibur is also lightweight, and
makes a pleasant noise (from the fan). I recommend
you purchase the 4-pack of Teflex sheets at the same
time you order this, because 2 come with the unit but
if you are like me you will use them a lot and need
sheets for the other 3 drawers. Warning: Temperature
inside top sheet during dehydration tends to be 10
degrees above temperature setting (i.e., if you want
100 degrees, set the temperature to 90, etc.). If you
have a family of 4 or more you might want to go ahead
and get the 9-drawer version.
