The advertised stainless steel twin gears also are part plastic or some type of fiber gear that cracks and breaks after a few years of usage, requiring replacement at a considerable cost. Repair or refurbishing the fiber portion of these gears should cut cost I see the new and improved Green Star model has the same type of gears. Otherwise the juicer produces great juice.
