Machine not built as well as claimed March 6, 2002

Small metal pin pushed up plastic on twin gear, broke off, went thru machine and punctured fine metal screen, machine now inoperable, manufacturer wants seventy five dollars to replace parts that in my opinion were defective, machine older than two years but less than 6months actual use, if machine is built as good as claimed back it up with better customer service. For the high cost would recommend buy something else from a company that really stands behind their product better.
