Shoddy construction, poor design August 18, 2008

The only thing that seals the blade shaft is a small polymer washer, held in place by the same screw that holds the blade in place. If that screw loosens, liquids will get past the seal and into the bearing. The bearing is pressed in place, and cannot be replaced without extraordinary effort. Keep that screw/bold tightened, or it will definitely leak.
