I am a devoted smoothie junkie, and this is the FIRST blender that doesn't break a sweat. It's motor doesn't complain with REALLY thick liquids, and the continuously variable speed is more useful than you'd think. Absolute control over speed, including a super-slow stir is very practical. This unit is no-nonsense and built like a tank. I'm glad I made the purchase, and I'm confident with it's excellent 6 year warranty.
