This is HANDS DOWN the best blender for the money. I bought this for my wife for Christmas this year, she wanted a new blender and I researched many. If money was no object, I would go for the Vitamix or K-tec (our friends have a Vitamix), however, this blender ROCKS. It easily makes smoothies that are well blended and thicker than most juice/smoothy places. It is very easy to use and easier to clean. The base is very stylish and the variable control nob works well. I have even made cashew/peanut butter in it with roasted nuts and sesame oil. WE ARE VERY HAPPY. I couldn't recommend this blender more. In fact, I may save up to get one for my office so I can make smoothies at work!!!
