Reviewer: Katy from Renton, WAMy wheatgrass grown in water stopped growing at 4 inches tall even though I gave it 12 days of growth time. I got 9 ounces of grass from all 3 trays together. I have grown wheatgrass in soil for one and a half years and the juice from the water grown wheatgrass had a thin consistency and seemed watered down and dilute tasting. Also, with dirt the trays don't have a way to drain. Grow lights work so much better than room or indirect lighting. I do like the black lids and the clear covers of the grower.
