Of all the household blenders we have seen, the Jack Lalanne Health Master 100 is the most powerful blender you will find in its price range.  We have found it performs well for its price. It is NOT a heavy duty commercial style blender like the Vitamix or Champ HP3A, so for someone serious about raw and living foods we reccomend saving for one of those blenders.
